Taurus firearms are well known recently for innovations like the Taurus Judge,
Taurus 24/7, Taurus 1911, Taurus Raging Bull, Taurus Tracker, Taurus PT145, and
all other current productions of Taurus guns.
Taurus firearms are some of the most affordable, high quality firearms on the
market. During the beginning of Taurus has been producing innovative firearms
since 1941, and has kept growing since. Later in 1968 Taurus guns had just began
getting importing to the US civilian market, and didn’t become an instant
success, until more recently. Taurus firearms have been accredited with a great
deal of their successes due to the merge of innovations from companies like
Colt, Smith & Wesson, and a few Spanish firearms manufacturers. While during
the 1970’s the parent company of Smith & Wesson bought 54% of Taurus Arms,
and became “sister companies,” but never owned by Smith & Wesson. Despite
the shared investor the two companies remained independent, until 1977, when
Taurus once again became independent.
Shortly after breaking off from Bangor Punta, the company started to expand
in all areas, and improved overall quality dramatically. The next series of
events that lead to a great deal of Taurus handguns, which can be observed to
this day is the Beretta influence. When Beretta won the contract for the
Brazilian Army, part of the contract made Beretta assemble their firearm in
Brazil, by Brazilian labor. After the contract was up, Taurus purchases the
Beretta plant, including the entire inventory which was available. Now Taurus
firearms come in a wide range of shapes, sizes, and calibers, to meet the needs
of any firearms enthusiast.
