Taurus International
Featuring Heinie Straight Eight Sights and the same Single/Double Action Triggers as well as matching serial numbers on the frame slide, and barrel as the Taurus 24/7 Pro, the Taurus International PT-138 Millennium Pro Pistol may be the best medium frame pistol of its kind. Including Taurus's Security System, the PT-138 can be made inoperable with the simple turn of a key. With the Security System engaged, the Taurus PT-138 cannot be fired or cocked and the manual safety cannot be disengaged. Light, compact, and packing 380 ACP firepower, the Taurus PT-138 Millennium Pro Pistol is a great choice for concealed and back-up carry.

When I went through the academy first as a uniform officer, you pick up on the line, the bigger gun wins. Depending on department policies most narrow the officer’s choices to 9mm, .40 or .45 for their service weapon. Makes sense, the uniformed officer does not have to worry about concealment, his weapon is carried out in the open while on duty. But when you start doing undercover work or move from uniform to investigative duties, concealment plays a role in your choice of weapon. Those that carry under a CCW have to balance that same issue. The .380 has been around for a long time, and for good reason, it is a good caliber. This weapon fits the mode of a good concealable weapon. The slide action is sharp; sights are plain, but well suited for carrying concealed for a close confrontation weapon. The manual safety is position well and operates easily. The added finger piece on the bottom of the magazine adds to the shooters grip comfort. I have shot over 300 rounds through the weapon without jams or other problems. I have carried it using both a paddle and IWB holsters, both were comfortable and easy to conceal. Great Price for a good weapon.

This weapon is a great choice for those looking for a firearm that is CCW capable and has more more punch that a 22LR. Have already shot about 300rds through it at the range and found action smooth, round feeding has no issues, this can be the result of the polished bore and feed aperture. Target pattern holds true at all typical pistol ranges. Alot of folks go after the Glock, and never give this weapon a second look. They are missing out.
